Just 11 kilometers from the city of Kos and with a population of more than 3,000 inhabitants, Zipari stands at a much-frequented crossroads.
It is the newest neighborhood of the Asfendiou area, to which a large number of residents have relocated, as well as a meeting spot for the greater Asfendiou and Mount Dikeos area.
The town’s main road boasts a large, colorful market while visitors can also take in the ruins of the paleo-Christian Basilica of Agios Pavlos as well as the Basilica of Kapama, yet another of the region’s historical remains that blend harmoniously into the landscape of today.
